چکیده
An agent can be seen as a software and/or hardware component of system which is capable of acting exactingly in order to accomplish tasks on behalf of its user. However, intelligent agent is still quite a new technology and researches in this area primarily focus on developing technologies in agent systems itself, and research works which evaluate the intelligent agent performance are few and far between. This research applies intelligent agent to B2C e-Commerce negotiation. An experimental design is then used to collect experiment data and a questionnaire is conducted to investigate the benefits of intelligent agent systems. Results show that intelligent systems do improve performance of negotiation system, in both experiment and questionnaire analysis.

Improving Agent Performance for Multi-Resource Negotiation Using Learning Automata and Case-Based Reasoning
In electronic commerce markets, agents often should acquire multiple resources to fulfil a high-level task. In order to attain such resources they need to compete with each other. In multi-agent environments, in which competition is involved, negotiation would be an interaction between agents in order to reach an agreement on resource allocation and to be coordinated with each other. In recent ...
متن کاملA Negotiation Support System based on a Multiagent System
In this paper, we propose a Negotiation Support System based on a Multi-agent System. Each agent assists a user in multi-criteria decision making and negotiates according to this decision-modelling with other agents, each of them representing a user. Moreover agents assist users in the debate to negotiate a joint representation of the problem and automatically justify proposals with this joint ...
متن کاملToward a Modular Architecture of Argumentative Agents to Compose Services⋆
In this paper, we present a model of agents which use argumentation to select and compose services in open and distributed environments. For this purpose, we propose a modular agent architecture using three main modules, dedicated, respectively, to decision making, communication, and negotiation. We deploy a simple “virtual” travel agent example to illustrate how our agents select and compose s...

For a long time, culture has been an influencing parameter in negotiations. Growth of international trades and business competitions has increased the importance of negotiations among countries and different cultures. Developing new technologies, particularly the use of artificial intelligence in electronic trading areas, has provided us with the application of intelligent agents to resolve cha...
